I am on the board of directors for Trees For Life Canada, an environmental education program that involves tens of thousands of children around the world every year. They learn curriculum relevant material that is localized to their respective countries, and at the end of the program, each child names and plants their own tree that they pledge to nurture for its entire lifetime. It is a hugely successful program and very popular with children and students alike. Ghana
I spend a month in Accra Ghana at a school as a volunteer teacher, even though I had no formal training as a teacher. It’s was a magical experience and it has led me to start Trees For Life Ghana in 2011. Check out my photos from Ghana under the ‘Charitable Work’ menu above.
